Specification

We have developed our product development process from 10 years of experience, academic theory and understanding of best industry practice to be highly refined and effective with a focus on providing value to our customers.

By writing a Technical Specification derived from thorough market research and product evaluation we ensure the project has a firm direction and aim, giving the ability for concepts to be reviewed and validated later.

Certification standards are always considered to ensure products are fit for purpose and ready to gain their CE stamp for sale.

Concept Development

Sketching, brainstorming, initial calculations, quick modelling, discussions, matrix evaluations; these are all part of the initial concept development phase to bring out the great ideas before formulising the best into genuine concepts.

We then develop the concepts in to fully fledged designs with always a consideration for the manufacutring method.

CAD (Computer Aided Design)

We have used SolidWorks CAD software for as long as we can remember; it is the industry standard and immensely powerful for product designing and virtual engineering. Advanced 3D modelling, surfacing, multi-bodied solids and large assemblies are part of our day to day work. If you can describe or sketch it, we can model it!

And always remember ‘CAD is king’! Get the CAD correct and everything else follows… CAD model data integrity is a core principle the company is based on.

Prototyping

Time is money.

We know this all too well. So we have invested in in-house prototyping facilities to ensure a rapid turnaround of prototypes. Nothing beats holding your concept in your hands to understand the form, function and fit within a few hours or days.

We build what we need, when we need it, using additive and subtractive processes’ and can provide ready to use components with suitable surface finish, heat treatments and product markings.

For complex prototyping we have well established trusted partners for all budgets.

Prototypes are defunct without a well-structured and methodical testing program to understand where potential under performance or improvements can be found. Testing is iterative and cyclic, often going back to concept development and prototyping a number of times before progressing to the next stage.

We have access to a range of testing facilities and the ability to manufacture testing fixturing whilst providing the documentation and subsequent interpretation required.

A great concept or product design is nothing without the ability to turn it in to a manufacturable and profitable product by specifying the right production process, materials, assembly procedure and quality control.

We have many years of experience taking concepts right through to batch and mass scale production aligning clients with the right manufacturing partners and setting up the required process control instructions.

Using the latest 3D software packages we can show your product to the world through computer aided renderings and animations before anything tangible has even been made.

Great for gauging interest in a new product or for presenting ideas to gain investment without large costs.
